Selection 26

Description

In the art studios of the region, intensive work, experimentation, and design take place. The diversity and expressiveness of the local art scene is showcased annually in the selection, for which one can apply at the Aargau Curatorium and the Aargau Art Museum. Based on the submissions for this exhibition, work and funding contributions are also awarded to artists with close ties to the canton of Aargau.

The selection presents around fifty works on two floors of the Aargau Art Museum. Visitors thus gain a unique insight into the art from the region.

Note: The collection takes a break during Selection 26. The rooms on the upper and lower floors exclusively show works from Selection 26. Collection 27 will reopen in January 2027.

General Information

The exhibition at the Aargau Art Museum annually showcases a selection of works by regional artists. During the exhibition, work and funding contributions are awarded to artists connected to the canton of Aargau. The collection is closed during the exhibition, and the works of Selection 26 can be seen on the upper and lower floors.
