The critically acclaimed and internationally successful A cappella ensemble Apollo5, one of the smallest but most impressive vocal groups in Great Britain, will bring their Christmas program to Tuttlingen on the 3rd Sunday of Advent. The vocal quintet, consisting of a soprano (Penelope Appleyard), a mezzo-soprano (Lily Robson), two tenors (Thomas Mottershead, Joseph Taylor), and a bass (Augustus Perkins Ray), is named after the ancient Greek god of music. Apollo5 is known for its rich, dynamic sound and demonstrates how powerful five voices can sound alone. Over its 16-year career, Apollo5 has developed an active touring schedule, taking the ensemble to many European countries, the USA, and Asia. With a repertoire ranging from the Renaissance through classical and contemporary choral works to folk, jazz, and pop, the five voices of the ensemble bring music from five centuries to life.
