It is a strange world that Andriu Deplazes shows us image by image. Colorful, yet ghostly. Populated by figures, yet filled with an unfathomable loneliness. The artist places nature into the picture, and yet we are reached by an almost artificial beauty. Between references to art history with always own image design and a constant dialogue with the painted world, the work of the Swiss artist living in Marseille unfolds. In the 300m2 of the new building, a comprehensive and representative exhibition is set up, establishing the artist's work as a prominent voice in contemporary painting.
