They were the Wise Guys, they are Alte Bekannte. In spring 2025, the new program was heard for the first time in Tuttlingen – before Christmas 2026, it now comes to Tuttlingen in the Christmas edition. Once again, this promises top-class vocal music! The five-member A cappella group, which has been delighting a large live audience since 2017 as the successor band of the legendary Wise Guys, approaches the festival of festivals in its Christmas program from two perspectives: While the band illuminates Christmas with numerous new songs of their own, sometimes humorously, they also rely on the magic of well-known traditional Christmas carols like "Es ist ein Ros' entsprungen" and "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht" in their versions, highlighting the characteristic A cappella sound of the quintet. By combining a contemporary view of Christmas in the 21st century with the celebration of melodies that have been rooted in the hearts of many for what feels like eternity, the Christmas festival shines in a variety of colors — sometimes contemplative, sometimes highly entertaining. There is plenty of variety and some surprises, and many titles invite sing-alongs.
