Description
In this 2-day workshop, you will work on a self-prepared graphite ground and learn a fascinating tonal value technique. Unlike drawing on white paper, light areas are created by erasing and dark areas by drawing – a method that allows surprising results and is very forgiving.
At the beginning, you will be introduced to the technique and prepare your own graphite ground. Then you will work with simple motifs, often organic objects like stones or found objects. The focus is on seeing tonal values, proportions, and spatial effect.
The course is calmly structured and offers plenty of room for experimentation. Due to the small group size, individual support is possible. The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as for experienced drawers who want to learn a new technique.
Included:
- All drawing materials
- Coffee, tea, water, and small snacks
