Zürich Reads: Rotpunktverlag

Description

Only ten months until the publishing house anniversary! The publishing director Nola is new to the industry and must first learn the rules of the game. The successful poet Susanna has promised her first novel but does not deliver. Translator Pénélope shines with cleverly witty wordplays, and Peter, the former editor, is on a mysterious world tour. Four voices tell with dedication, charm, and a touch of gallows humor about everyday life at the publishing house. And then suddenly, the day of the big anniversary arrives – and everything turns out very differently than planned. Published for the 50th anniversary of Rotpunktverlag, "Der Verlag" is an entertaining story about a small publisher, like many others. Specifically for this somewhat different commemorative publication, Romana Ganzoni (as Susanna Mainradi), Samuel Herzog (as Peter), Lis Künzli (as Pénélope), and Karin Rey (as Nola) have formed a literary quartet. As part of "Zürich liest," they will present their novel for the first time in a joint dramatic reading.
