Zauberlaterne at Pathé Westside

The Zauberlaterne is a film club for children aged 6 to 12. Here, they discover – without their parents, but in the company of responsible adults – the magic of cinema on the big screen. From October to June, the Zauberlaterne at Pathé Westside screens nine carefully selected films from various countries and eras. The films inspire a love of storytelling, promote critical thinking, and invite children to immerse themselves in the great emotions of cinema – to laugh, dream, cry, or even feel a little scared. About ten days before each screening, members receive a lovingly illustrated club magazine with information about the film. Each screening is preceded by an entertaining and educational scenic introduction that highlights important aspects of the film. Membership for all nine screenings in a season costs only CHF 40.– (CHF 30.– for the second child in the same family and free for all additional children).
