The Chugai Chamber Ensemble presents "Young Apollo - A New Beginning", a colorful concert program for piano and string orchestra inspired by Benjamin Britten's "Young Apollo", a sparkling work of youth and new beginnings. The year 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the death of this important British composer. A special highlight of the program is a specially commissioned composition by Swiss composer Timon Altwegg: Three Apollonian Poems, which will be premiered as part of this concert.

Works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Charles Ives, Benjamin Britten and Timon Altwegg combine baroque clarity with modern tonal language and new music.
