Description

Three days of voguing, ballroom, and villain glamour: Tanzhaus Zürich becomes the stage for the scene in Central Europe – with workshops, talks, and an international line-up. At Villains Ball Weekend, competition, performance, knowledge, and community come together. International and local stars of the ballroom scene gather in Zurich to dance, exchange ideas, pass on history, and celebrate the present and future of ballroom together. The weekend starts on Friday with workshops and a panel talk. On Saturday, the Villains Major Ball with cash prizes follows, before the Black and Yellow Kiki Ball continues the weekend on Sunday. Friday, September 25 program:
Friday opens the weekend with a deep dive into the roots of vogue and ballroom. Portugal Mother Nala Revlon (Portugal) leads a Vogue Femme workshop and teaches the basics of this expressive, feminine dance style. Afterwards, Swiss Mother Tropikahl Ivy Saint Laurent and Legendary Tabytha Margiela look back at the origins of ballroom and Old Way as a Femme Queen practice. The finale is a panel talk with internationally known guests about heritage, change, and the next generation of ballroom. 4:00 – 5:30 pm: Vogue Femme Workshop (feminine vogue style) with Portugal Mother Nala Revlon (opens in new window) (Portugal)

Saturday is the highlight of the weekend: The Villains Major Ball. Performers from the international ballroom scene compete in various categories, judged by a high-caliber jury, with cash prizes for the winners. 3:00 – 9:00 pm: The Villains Major Ball (with cash prizes) Sunday, September 27 program:
