Demenz Liechtenstein wants to bring topics to the table and into the spotlight. On this evening, Jutta Wieser will be in conversation with Matthias Brüstle, psychologist, managing director of Demenz.li, and other discussion partners. As the daughter of a father suffering from dementia, Jutta Wieser is personally affected. As a radio presenter, dialogue facilitator, and podcast creator, she wants to take relatives, those affected, and decision-makers into this world of experience and jointly seek viable answers. "What No One Talks About" describes the often hidden reality behind closed doors: overwhelm, helplessness, and powerlessness in the face of the profound changes of a loved one. At the same time, there is already a lot of knowledge, research, and experience about dementia. Therefore, the question also arises:
What is talked about – but why is there not enough listening? Dementia is still associated with shame, guilt, and fear. At the same time, a significant increase in cases is expected. This raises urgent questions:
What lies ahead for those affected, what support is already available, and what does a society that must accompany more and more people well need? On the evening of the event, two of the planned 10 podcast episodes will already have been released. This podcast series aims to make burdens visible, show existing support services, and explore future solutions – understandable, accessible, and close to people. The event is aimed at all interested parties. The evening "What No One Talks About – Living with Dementia" is a cooperation event by Stein Egerta and Demenz.li.
