Description
During the pandemic, three vocal leaders of the Chamber Orchestra Basel brought music directly to the audience with spontaneous flash mobs. With classical, early music, and original folk music arrangements, they surprised with their newly founded ensemble Inisheer in parks, courtyards, and bus stops.
Today, they perform again in concert and chamber music halls, but retain the passionate spirit of their early days.
Using historical instruments with gut strings, they seek an authentic sound language. With percussion, voice, and full body engagement, they also passionately dedicate themselves to folk music. The Irish tune "Inisheer," the namesake of the trio, is a staple of the program. You will hear passages from Beethoven's Serenade op. 8 with processed folk music and dance elements, as well as his light early trio op. 3. Additionally, the trio Inisheer plays their own transcriptions from Béla Bartók's collection "Romanian Folk Dances" and historical arrangements of Mozart's piano sonatas with obligato violin. Irish fiddle tunes and Swedish music by the band Väsen complete the evening full of groove. Julia Schröder, violin and vocals
