Description
The last evening in this song series 2026 on Friday, October 9, 2026, is dedicated to the lutenist John Dowland, whose anniversary of death this year marks the 400th time. Under the motto "time stands still," there will be performances of lute songs by Dowland as well as compositions by Heinrich Schütz, Caccini, and Amarilli. The Freiburg tenor Hans Jörg Mammel will be accompanied on the lute by Thorsten Bleich.
