Description

In her debut, Guya Merkle combines economic reality with social responsibility – drawn from her personal experiences in small-scale mining and her own entrepreneurial practice. This book shows how closely resources, power, capital, and global inequality are intertwined – and why solutions rarely emerge where we look for them. COLLECTION: Feel free to bring your old mobile phones to the reading! Together with Telekom's Mobile Collection Center, we collect them and reintroduce the valuable raw materials like gold contained within into the cycle. For each collected phone, Telekom donates to the earthbeat foundation. The evening is hosted by television and radio presenter and actress Alina Merkau.
