FOTZENSCHLEIMPOWER AGAINST PREDATORIAL KAPUTTALISMUS - By and with Mateja Meded

Description

Between Balkan rage and Berlin snout, a radically personal evening unfolds: loud, vulnerable, funny - and highly political. Razor-sharp, this solo performance targets shame, conformity, and cultural propriety. What happens when we no longer want to please? Fotzenschleimpower is not a piece.
It is a ghetto-lectual uprising with humor, a survival strategy, a collective scream against shame, conformity, class, and cultural propriety.
As the first piece of the festival weeks, Fotzenschleimpower was sold out immediately.
Not because it was obedient – but because it hit home. And perhaps also because, for the first time, empowered without victim migrant theater folklore, it tells what it means to be a woman with a refugee background. Between Balkan rage, Berlin snout, pop, trauma, body, desire, and class reality, a radically personal performance unfolds: autofictional, loud, vulnerable, funny, and shamelessly political.
A piece about Berlin – about origin, fairy tales of ascent, gentrification, precariousness, contradiction, and life in between. Fotzenschleimpower reclaims the devalued, the slimy, the flashy, the uncomfortable.
It thinks ghetto-lectually, feels collectively, and transforms helplessness into agency.
What happens when we no longer want to please?
When we tell our stories ourselves – beyond high culture, shame, and false class? Fotzenschleimpower is an invitation to solidarity.
Powerful. Evil. Funny. Uncomfortable.
From us. For us.
