Description

The Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso (Caithness) is the northernmost distillery on the Scottish mainland. The original distillery was founded in 1821, later abandoned, and only rebuilt near the historic site in 2013. Wolfburn relies on traditional production with long fermentation, slow distillation, and carefully selected oak casks. The result is elegant, fruity, and balanced single malts that, despite the young history of the modern distillery, have already gained great international recognition. This year, Andy Lehmann's bagpipe playing also provides an authentic Scottish atmosphere, making the event a special experience. Lecture: Simon Schmidlin
