A proud and self-ironic look at the lively history of the MAXIM Theater on the occasion of its 20th anniversary! In a musical memory collage, a high-caliber ensemble brings scenes, fragments, songs, and questions from previous MAXIM productions back to the stage. Back then, the question was: Who is allowed to belong? Today, it is: Who can still afford Zurich? As a new major sponsor aims to declare Kreis 4 an international lifestyle destination, the anniversary gala gets out of control. A bitterly comic reenactment about belonging, gentrification, and the question: Who owns the city?

The event "WHO OWNS THE CITY?" celebrates the 20th anniversary of the MAXIM Theater in Zurich. In a bitterly comic reenactment, scenes and songs from previous productions are presented, while current social issues come to the fore.
