In France and Italy, it has been around longer: a history that does not end at the borders of the nation, but tells the story of their countries in a global context. Now, Switzerland is following suit with its 'World History'. In 121 essays, renowned authors paint a broad transnational panorama. Entertaining and multifaceted, the 'World History of Switzerland' presents the country and its global connections in a new light. The book is published by the Swiss Society for Economic and Social History under the leadership of Véronique Dasen, Thomas David, Brigitte Studer, and Simon Teuscher.
