Walk Through the History of the Experiment House and Panel Construction on Lidická Street

Description

Lidická Street between Mánesova Street and Jiřího z Poděbrad Square represents a vast area where, in the early 1960s, individual panel systems were first implemented, which subsequently expanded throughout the South Bohemian Region. At the same time, the ideas of collective housing were still resonating in the case of the residential building known as the Experiment, and in the following stages of construction, the housing standard was formed, which, in this form with minor modifications, characterized living in panel houses until the end of the 1980s. During the walk, a 20th-century history expert, Mr. Milan Šilhan, will tell us about it.
