The exhibition commemorates 60 years since the establishment of the International Symposium of Ceramics Bechyně. The project focuses on personal and professional connections between Czech and foreign artists who have participated in the symposium. A selection of works from the AJG collection presents ceramics as a distinct artistic medium and as a tool for international dialogue and sharing experiences that have shaped the field since the 1960s. The anniversary exhibition titled Transfer, 1966-2026. International Symposium of Ceramics Bechyně in the Collections of AJG brings closer the intertwining of human destinies that have surrounded it over sixty years of operation. Following Contact, the 2018 edition, the new exhibition continues beyond the central history of the symposium organization and the circle of close artists. Works by foreign and Czech artists will outline the genealogy of the current form of the symposium, the stories of artistic and interpersonal exchanges, and simultaneously capture the transition to a new era under the management of the Alšova South Bohemian Gallery.
