Description
Jen is 17 and possibly pregnant by a guy whose first name she doesn't know. Between cycle apps, pregnancy tests, conversations with friends, and a mother who is about to "lose it," she tries to figure out how much future fits into a body that is just beginning to grow up. Her friends Nini and Ka react differently: Nini dreams of godparenthood and marshmallow songs, Ka demands a realistic and clear decision. And then there is Luis, who is in love with Jen and would be ready to raise the child with her – even if he is not the father. With direct language, dark humor, and poetic layers of imagination, Eva Rottmann's play negotiates the question of motherhood and today's family systems, abortion, and the connection between class affiliation and reproductive rights. Eva Rottmann has received numerous awards for her texts, including the Swiss Children's and Youth Book Prize 2025 for her novel "Fucking fucking schön." Language: German
