Description
What does homeland mean in a world that is becoming increasingly digital, faster, and more anonymous? Where do we find security when real encounters become rarer? Can theater be a home? Based on Tim Krohn's mythic Alpine novel, Vrenelis Gärtli, a theater evening is created that aims to let us experience human and inhuman desires directly. At the center are two unusual characters: Vreneli and Bersiäneli. They move through the noise of a life — feeling, stumbling, searching. For Vreneli, the journey through the mountain world also becomes a journey inward: Who am I? Where do I belong? Where is my place in this world? The search for identity becomes a search for homeland — not just as a place, but as a feeling of belonging. Vreneli and Bersiäneli tell, doubt, laugh, reach boundaries — and in doing so, create a world that seems both strange and familiar. Perhaps theater becomes a home exactly there: in shared listening, in wonder, in passing on stories. Participants and additional information: Featuring: Catriona Guggenbühl, Annina Walt
