VRENELI'S GÄRTLI

Description

This theater evening, inspired by Tim Krohn's mythic Alpine novel Vrenelis Gärtli, delves into what homeland means in an increasingly digital, fast, and anonymous world. Centered around two characters, Vreneli and Bersiäneli, the performance follows their wandering, stumbling, and searching through the mountains and within themselves. As Vreneli's journey becomes a quest for identity and a sense of belonging, the play invites audiences to reflect on the nature of home, community, and human connection. The characters' doubts, laughter, and boundary-pushing create a world that feels both strange and familiar, emphasizing that theater can be a place of refuge and shared stories.
