In the spirit of art full of life, the exhibition by IG Halle at Kunst(Zeug)Haus Rapperswil centrally presents the expressive painting of Regula Syz. The work spanning around 50 years reflects a profound engagement with human reality, societal and spiritual questions. Martin Reukauf, on the other hand, has been painting exclusively in the forest for almost 20 years, depicting what he sees: colors, light, contrasts, rhythm, and dynamics. His painterly practice addresses the question: How can we get closer to the diversity of the visible? Beyond the visible, Susanne Hauser points to unexpected possibilities and forms of life, whether they are planets to be discovered or hidden beings in the depths of the oceans. Condensed from countless fine strokes, her drawings themselves are a depiction of the inexhaustible. Structures of the living characterize the work of Haviva Jacobson: both her drawings and larger installations grow, so to speak, organically from an aimless creative process, attentive observation, and experimentation with various materials. Water as a source of life finds its way directly into the objects and installations of Janeth Berrettini in its natural form as rain or river water. In her latest works, she exposes fresh soft clay slabs to the rain so that the drops form unique landscapes. During a workshop held during the exhibition, she also invites adults and children from 7 years old to give space to the essence of water and to come into the flow themselves. Additionally, there will be a book launch with Regula Syz, a visit to the “Morgenland” by Erwin Schatzmann, as well as a guided tour and an artist talk.
