Volksmusik-Ensemble Alpinis - the folk music formation of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences
Founded in autumn 2009, the Volksmusik-Ensemble Alpinis consists of students from the folk music specialization. The ensemble, which performs in varying sizes, not only maintains a broad repertoire of Alpine folk music but also engages with new and old musical trends at the intersection of classical and jazz. The ensemble is led by Christoph Pfändler. Prior to the Alpinis, the folk ensemble of the General Music School Oberwallis, led by David Elsig, will perform.
