Needle & Salt
Mr. Schnyder (Needle)
The needle, perhaps the most important instrument of the brave tailor! Rolf has crafted numerous songs, together with lyricists from around the world. Many of these songs have already been released. In international songwriter competitions, Rolf's songs are consistently 'on top', and he won the 'Lennon Award' in 2006 and the 'Australian Songwriting Contest' in 2014.
Mr. Salzmann (Salt)
'Salt is the most precious of all the gems that the earth gives us.' Justus von Liebig (1803-1873). Powerful, polished, and shining is the voice of Fredy. Whether a traditional country song or a new country song, Fredy adapts and knows how to use salt properly to make the soup really taste good!
Biography:
In the autumn of 2018, Fredy Salzmann and Rolf Schnyder met for the first time for a joint rehearsal. Rolf had already made a name for himself as a country songwriter, so the song material was there, and Fredy had the right voice for the songs. Both are no strangers to the music scene and have been active as musicians and singers in various bands and projects for the past 25 years.
As Needle & Salt, they played several duo performances. It soon became clear that this needed to be expanded into a full band. At the end of November 2018, Needle & Salt was heard live for the first time with a band. Fränggi Bellwalder (Drums), Rolf Schnyder (Vocals, Guitar), Fredy Salzmann (Vocals), Thommy Ambiel (Bass), Liam Schnyder (Keyboard).
