The work encompasses more than six million words, between 4,000 and 4,500 poems, and almost 600 biographies in French… A great author whose work cannot be fully presented: tireless political fighter, painter, playwright, novelist (among others)… "Vivre!" is to be understood here as a kind of stroll, where one lets oneself be swayed by the rhythmic melody of the Alexandrines, sometimes enchanted by the visionary accents of the texts, and swept away by extraordinary narratives, reflections, and notes that the great man captured in everyday life. "The heaviest burden is to exist without living," writes Victor Hugo. Michel Voïta accompanies him with some texts that – directly or indirectly – address the difficult task of LIVING, from childhood to the art of being a grandfather. With Victor Hugo, Michel Voïta continues his magnificent series of staged readings dedicated to great authors. An event to be fully enjoyed on February 26 at the Théâtre du Dé!
