On October 10 and 11, the Théâtre du Dé presents "Ça veut jouer (ou bien?)"
"Ça veut jouer", that much is certain! Robert Bouvier is a theater director who is enthusiastic about the Coué method. An example: He spontaneously replaces the play that one is waiting for in vain, as the troupe is held up at customs. This excessive self-confidence he calls his "lucky star", which has played strange tricks on him since his youth – between memorable slip-ups, malapropisms, forgetfulness, and other fiascos.
So why not take over the management of a theater? It would surely work out! Tough luck... but those who want to, can make it happen! And let's be honest: it has gone quite well! His talent for getting into quirky situations has not stopped him from being the inspired director of the Théâtre du Passage in Neuchâtel for more than twenty years. Back on stage, he brilliantly embodies around fifty funny and lovable characters that have shaped him. This solo piece, he says, is "a mischievous way to express my joy of being back on the boards – like on a raft that saves me from all shipwrecks." And for the audience, it is an hour and a half of gentle madness, like a hymn to the theater.
