Description
A project by Esther Pilkington with Daniel Ladnar, Kerstin Oppermann, Manuel Scuzzo, and many more | Stage: Matthias Anton | Costume: Katrin Rieber | Production Management: Honest Work – Free Cultural Office Every day we move through the city – on foot, by bike, by car, by bus and train. Some routes we take daily, others are completely new to us. Essentially, the countless ways through the city are a remarkable movement performance by many. However, this is not without problems: many routes are too complicated, others are dangerous. And then there are the impacts of traffic on the environment. Especially for children and families, the daily journeys through the city are a major challenge. Yet, they are rarely heard in traffic planning!
What if we use theater not to explain traffic rules, but to think about street traffic in a completely different way? Different movements, different vehicles, different rules? We want to explore this together on a performance tour around the theater! Made possible by the re-staging and guest performance funding from the umbrella association of free performing arts Hamburg, funded by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Department of Culture and Media.
