Claude, the eternal lover, Annie and Jean, socially adjusted, he still an activist, Jeanne and Albert, the feminist and the bon vivant. They want to be there for each other and thus prevent anyone from ending up in a nursing home or falling into state care. To support them, they hire the young ethnology student Dirk. The protagonists have been close friends for decades and know each other very well. Nevertheless, tensions do not take long to surface. Not only because physical ailments and the progressing dementia of one of the housemates make cohabitation difficult. Dirk's presence will also act as a catalyst, bringing to light tightly guarded secrets and hidden desires...
