Every ten years, Uli Boettcher takes the time to look at the changing world, his fellow humans – and himself. Few things are better suited than a decade anniversary to realize: you are still the same – and at the same time a completely different person.
However, the world does not stand still: cars that were new yesterday now carry a H license plate. Children who once helped with homework now sell insurance. And the parents, who always knew the way, are suddenly looking for the right path themselves.
The gap between internal and external perception continues to widen, seemingly unchangeable attitudes are becoming crazy. Boettcher dissects these processes in his typical way – and discovers the small and large quirks of life as well as the opportunities and absurdities that aging still holds.
