Description

This production interprets the famous 5th-century poem Meghaduta by Kalidasa through expressive Kathak dance and live music, creating a powerful visual and emotional experience. The story follows a celestial Yaksha exiled for a year, who entrusts a passing cloud with a message of love for his distant wife in Alaka. The performance features Kathak dancers embodying the Yaksha, Yakshini, and the spirit of the cloud, accompanied by live music including Tabla, singing, Harmonium, and Santoor, enhancing the dramatic atmosphere and preserving the authenticity of Indian classical aesthetics. This event celebrates Indian cultural heritage by blending traditional literature, dance, and music.
