Fascinating, boundary-breaking synergy of jazz, hip hop, South African music, and electronics. Composer, keyboardist, and bandleader Tyn Wybenga is a driving, innovative force in the Dutch contemporary jazz scene. With bold creativity, he employs a unique composition method where he samples and rearranges fragments of recorded solo improvisations from his band members to create new music, allowing his band to improvise over this sound collage. An inventive, quick-thinking, and subtly layered sound that varies greatly, captivates, and yet breathes as a harmonious, grooving whole. Wybenga released his latest album "Tonepool Paradox" in 2025 on Bandcamp. The execution of these jazz concerts has been made possible through the support of the Performing Arts Fund NL.
