Tygroo Tygroo play wind instruments and drums. They say they play drum'n'brass, but their music is more like jungle. Jungle EDM beats, prickly Balkan melodies, sarcastic rap, and unexpected musical twists. Trans beats pulse, sub-bass grinds, brass instruments scream, and so do the people. It's hot in the fur and even without it. The concert has begun. The tiger is at home in the jungle. Over nearly ten years of existence, Tygroo has undergone many musical transformations – from initial inspiration from New Orleans and Balkan brass bands to wind house in the style of American Moon Hooch and inspiration from Czech rap bands, to the current mix of Balkan music, trap, and contemporary EDM. The band has been trying to combine, graft, layer, and cross these genres and influences since the very beginning. It is often a painful process full of dead ends, but it bears sweet fruit. Despite the multitude of influences – or perhaps because of it – Tygroo still sounds like Tygroo, even though definitely not always the same. Perhaps they have succeeded in this on the new album Eat Human. Dark electronics transport us somewhere to a bunker after the end of civilization, where a party is held to celebrate surviving another day. Dense sub-basses grind deeper and deeper, wind instruments explore the edges of madness, and sarcastic rap self-flagellates our own human sins. Salvation may come only at dawn when we relieve ourselves to find that we have danced into another day. The album brought the band a spot on the shortlist for the Anděl Awards in the jazz category. Nauzea Orchestra Nauzea Orchestra is an alternative music group that originated in Ústí nad Labem in 2007 and has undergone a significant transformation since its inception. The debut Meisterstűck Eins (2009) was electroclash, with lyrics in German and English, based on dadaist jokes and comic images. In the following albums The Dark Side Of The Raven (2011), Dobro (2015), and Štěstí (2017), influences of skewed country, krautrock, industrial, noise, and post-punk began to appear. The fifth album Láska (2021) and the sixth recording Ulož tmu are entirely in Czech. The band currently consists of Ondřej Švandrlík (guitar, synthesizer, vocals), David Kolovratník (drums), Ivo Mikšovský (bass), Jakub Švandrlík (guitar), and Klára Suchanková (violin, vocals). Individual members are also long-term involved in other projects. Ondřej Švandrlík is the author of stage music for several Czech theaters. David Kolovratník works as a visual artist and is the author of the album covers for Štěstí, Láska, and Ulož tmu. Klára Suchanková is also active in the band Bizarre Band. On the sixth studio album Ulož tmu, Nauzea Orchestra is much tighter and noticeably more aggressive. It leans on krautrock motifs, minimalism, and post-punk energy that drives the songs forward like a flight from a world that is losing solid ground. The band returns to danceable grooves, and the recording is full of youthful energy and perspective despite its darker content. The album Ulož tmu was released on the Indies Scope label on February 20, 2026.
