Description

This summer, the 20th edition of TWINGI (formerly Twingi Land Art) will take place in the Twingi Gorge. For the first time, the exhibition has a theme: WHAT REMAINS. What are the constants in a rapidly changing world? How enduring and resilient is nature? Who stays, and who returns? What traces do we leave behind? And finally: What remains of 19 years of art in the Binntal—in the landscape and in the collective memory? Eight artists and three artist collectives present diverse perspectives on the exhibition’s theme. The exhibition can be visited on an easy, approximately one-hour hike between the PostBus stops at Steinmatten and the hamlet of Ze Binne (Langthal stop). Another installation is located in the center of the village of Binn. There are places to stop for refreshments in the hamlet of Ze Binne and in the village of Binn. The exhibition is open to the public and free of charge. The exhibition guide is available at the tourist offices in Ernen and Binn, as well as at both starting points of the exhibition. Group tours are available upon request.

General Information

The 20th edition of TWINGI takes place this summer in the Twingi Gorge, featuring eight artists and three collectives. Visitors can explore the exhibition on a one-hour hike, with installations in both the gorge and the village of Binn.
