Thomas Siffling, Olaf Schönborn and band paid tribute to Miles Davis and Sonny Rollins. The brilliant jazz trumpeter Miles Davis would have turned 100 this year, the musician who reinvented jazz time and again. The legendary saxophonist and jazz composer Sonny Rollins died at the age of 95 on 25.05.2026. The trumpeter Miles Davis, whom Rollins accompanied in his early years in various groups, called him "the greatest tenor saxophonist of all time." Thomas Siffling, born on 18.12.1972 in Karlsruhe, is considered one of the most renowned and successful jazz musicians of his generation in the German-speaking world. He studied jazz trumpet at the music colleges in Mannheim and Stuttgart. In the following years, he collaborated with Söhne Mannheims, Pit Baumgartner of De-Phazz, the band re:jazz, and Club des Belugas. At 33, he received the jazz award of the state of Baden-Württemberg.
