Description
After almost two years of silence, TRÄNEN return with their second album "Leben in einer Katze," which they will promote on the "Die Erde ist mein Traum" Tour 2027 next February. Gwen Dolyn and Steffen Israel announce an album that sounds bigger, poppier, more radical, and more vulnerable than anything the band has done so far. "Leben in einer Katze" will be released on October 30, 2026, by Eklat Tonträger / Warner and is an album about belonging, longing, anger, and love – told from the perspective of a foreign being, visitors from other planets, and people who do not feel at home on Earth. But it is not just escapism. The alien perspective sharpens the view of reality. In this album world, there is humor, irony, talking cats, nocturnal fields, old flying objects, whipping barbed wire, and sweating butts. At the same time, the album openly questions love, shame, desire, anger, physicality, loneliness, justice, and a world in which one is allowed to stay and also wants to. "Leben in einer Katze" is a rejection of contemporary pop that claims vulnerability but rarely risks anything. TRÄNEN are not interested in feelings that are already softened before they can become intense and dangerous. Their songs seek closeness without smoothing over. They ask big questions without immediately toning them down with irony. And then they laugh loudly.
