Description
The first Tour de Suisse took place in 1933, the bicycle race, mind you. Because Tours de Suisse has existed in various forms. In this thematic short film program, school classes sing songs and drink Ovomaltine while traveling through different language regions; the Appenzellerland can be visited or toured based on dance floors, mountain hikes, or silk weaving; or you can fly to Ticino with a delta glider to mandolins, Grotti, and Dimitri. Or perhaps cycle step by step on the bike over roots and stones through Switzerland. Until today. In an entertaining program from the film archive, we go on a national tour, marvel at historical perspectives, smile at tourist ideas, and also follow cycling racers. And we return to a time of cycling journalism, where in a weekly newsreel, seven stages of the tour could be summarized. 6 PM: Guided tour of the Kinemathek collection 7 PM: Start of the film screening, followed by a bar service In cooperation with the Bernese Homeland Security.
