The launch of the Lucerne Tolkien Portal will mark the festive conclusion of the 3rd Tolkien Conference Switzerland 2027 and is specifically aimed at the general public. Following a communal standing dinner, guests will enjoy live music, dramatic readings, storytelling, multimedia presentations, quizzes, and interactive activities, as well as special guests from the worlds of literature, music, and academia, and a preview of upcoming Tolkien projects in Switzerland. The evening combines scholarship and creativity and showcases why Tolkien continues to inspire generations to this day. The main program will be presented in German; individual presentations may be delivered in English (but will then be simultaneously translated into German). Cost: CHF 65.–, including a standing dinner; registration required
