Marco Todisco is a singer-songwriter and storyteller. In his songs, he encapsulates the spirit of the times, culture, and zest for life with touching Italianità and breaks it with well-seasoned irony. His stories are complemented by the sonically refined drummer and percussionist Andi Pupato, who blends wonderfully into Todisco's mix of chanson, pop, and jazz. Todisco & Pupato are heartbreakers: charming and melodic, wild and cheeky. Marco Todisco was born as Secondo in Engadin, grew up trilingual in Domleschg, and has been living in Zurich for 30 years. He draws inspiration from two different cultures. The singer-songwriter walks through the world with open, alert, and loving eyes, reporting from the everyday life of his Swiss adopted homeland. He hosts the Italian-language talk show «Caffè Todisco» once a month on Radio and TV Südostschweiz. He works as a musician and sports teacher and is the captain of the Swiss football national team of writers (Literature-Nati). www.marcotodisco.com Andi Pupato studied percussion in Zurich, later attended the Escuela de superación profesional de música Ignacio Cervantes in Havana, and was also taught by José Luis «Changuito» Quintana. In 1994, he studied traditional West African percussion in Senegal with Bilal Kounta and played in his band Dougou Fana. He has collaborated with countless Swiss and international artists, including Tarja Turunen, Mich Gerber, Seven, Stiller Has, and Gotthard, as well as Nik Bärtsch’s Ronin, Andreas Vollenweider, Chico & the Gypsies, Kol Simcha, Corin Curschellas, and Thierry Lang. Numerous albums and film soundtracks, including an Oscar-winning one, testify to the versatility of his work.
