Description

A painter in Paris protests one day against his inhumane environment by refusing the bourgeois order, throwing all the furnishings out of his apartment and turning it into a cave where he lives freely according to his wishes. «Themroc, an aging bachelor, lives with his mother and sister and is a painter. His life is bleak and monotonous. One day, after a quarrel with his superior, he revolts. Like a wild animal, he flees roaring; the neighborhood residents are made to revert to the Stone Age. The powerless authorities become small game, which Themroc grills on a spit.
This film features not a single articulated sentence; from the initial grunts, it becomes liberating screams. The relationships between mother and son, brother and sister, employer and employee, oppressor and oppressed dissolve.
