Françoise Gilot was born on November 26, 1921, 105 years ago. She was the 40 years younger partner of Pablo Picasso from 1945 to 1953. Dr. Karl Bühlmann sheds light on this special relationship. The couple lived together in Vallauris, where Françoise Gilot gave birth to their two children, Claude and Paloma. She was the only woman to publicly leave Pablo Picasso. She later published the much-discussed book Life with Picasso about their life together. The painting 'Femme et Chien jouant' in the Rosengart Collection Museum is considered an impressive testament to this separation. Françoise Gilot passed away in 2023 at the age of 102 in New York.
