"Deseo de Tango Quintett: „THE ROAD – the shared path“ Why walk through life when you can dance? In 2026, Deseo de Tango Quintett celebrates its 20th anniversary. Since its founding in 2006 at the University of the Arts Bern, the five musicians share a common passion: tango, its history, and its distinctive sound language. For the anniversary, the quintet presents the concert program “THE ROAD – the shared path”. The focus is on the path as a symbol of departure, encounter, and change — for being on the move in life as well as in music. The program raises questions about destination and change: Where does the path lead us? Does it change us? And what remains if not the goal, but the path itself is the focus? For this anniversary project, a new work by composer Roman Glaser is also created, written especially for Deseo de Tango. “THE ROAD” is a musical journey through 20 years of shared passion, development, and artistic encounter."
