The Beast is a non-fictional solo dance theater performance by Elenita Queiróz that confronts the expectations, loss, fear, exhaustion, and self-loss associated with motherhood. Through a multifaceted physicality and intense presence, the piece reveals the unseen sides of maternal experience, blending vulnerability and resistance into a compelling and transformative solo. The performance features original music by Raoul Alain Nagel, with dramaturgy by Ted Stoffer and choreography assistance from Sayaka Kaiwa. It takes place at Lokremise St.Gallen in Switzerland.
