After the tumultuous 20s, during which the modern, confident, and independent woman and man fully formed, the 30s arrive - somewhat more moderate, conservative, and less experimental, but for most of us the most elegant of the entire 20th century. Film, now spoken, firmly establishes itself as one of the main factors influencing life, style, and fashion, and together with futurism and modernism (now called art deco) creates an environment that we still remember and think of as the pinnacle of nobility, good behavior, and order. But what exactly did the era look like, what and how was it worn, what were the peculiarities, and was the First Republic really as we imagine it today - all this will be discussed in a lecture on 15.10. at 19:00 with collector and owner of Aristokrat Vintage, a Prague shop specializing in antique women's fashion from 1860-1960, Anežka Tara Znamenáčková. REPUBLIC & ART DECO Gallery One One invites you to an exceptional exhibition of contemporary art inspired by the elegance of the First Republic and the aesthetics of Art Deco. The project is organized in collaboration with photographer Angelo Purgert, whose photographic project with a charitable outreach will be part of the exhibition. The atmosphere of the period will also be complemented by the Aristokrat Vintage exhibition featuring original antique fashion and the Coffee Museum Alchymista exhibition, which will remind us of the history and culture of coffee. The exhibition will connect contemporary art, photography, fashion, and the legacy of the First Republic in one common story.
