Description

During World War II, Switzerland, a small country completely surrounded by the Axis powers, reaffirmed its neutrality according to international law. But what does this neutrality actually mean? To what extent did the country serve as a battleground for Allied spies and resistance groups? What role did Switzerland play in this secret war, whose effects were significant? The answers to these questions and much more will soon be revealed in the new special exhibition at Château de Morges and its museums. With over 500 previously unpublished documents and objects, TOP SECRET lifts the veil on a little-known aspect of our history: the complex connections between Swiss intelligence services, Allied secret services, and resistance movements across Europe. From November 14, Château de Morges offers insight into this shadow war of encrypted messages, secret agents, escape aids, and covert operations. Discover the origins of modern intelligence agencies, the strategic importance of Switzerland during World War II, and the early beginnings of the Cold War behind the scenes.

However, we have a wheelchair available for those who can climb the stairs at the entrance. Free admission on the first Sunday of every month. Guided tours are available by reservation. Flat rate 120 CHF for up to 15 people per guide (admission tickets not included). Annual closure from December 21, 2025, from 9:00 PM to January 5, 2026. 2025 Tuesday to Sunday, 10 AM - 5 PM. Closed from December 23 to January 4, 2026. Wednesday to Sunday, 10 AM - 5 PM (6 PM July-August). Open on holidays and Tuesdays during school holidays.
