TanzPlan Ost: Felt Relations

Description

FELT RELATIONS explores the complex relationship network between nature and humans: Starting from the sheep, the piece spans a bridge between the Levant and Switzerland. Inspired by the research process in the mountains and the processing of wool, the piece invites the perception of infinity, rawness, and delicacy. Felting, an ancient, repetitive, and cross-cultural gesture, is choreographically examined as a primal metaphor and made visually and physically-sensually tangible and experienceable. On stage, a resonance field arises between the wool and the human body, two relational, soft, and resilient fabrics that breathe and navigate with the interior and exterior space. FELT RELATIONS is presented as part of the TPO Tour 2026 by TanzPlan Ost, which has been promoting contemporary dance in Eastern Switzerland for 16 years. On the same evening, we also present Collective Rhythms of Pain – both performances can be seen with one ticket. The stage space will smell of unwashed sheep wool, which is present in the audience and on stage. An event by Simea Cavelti
