Description
Tanz in Bern feat. Performing for Palestine SO 1.11.26 18:00 Dauer: ca. 100 Minuten, mit einer Pause Sprache: Englisch The author, poet, and journalist Mohammed El Kurd discusses, based on his book "Perfect Victims and the Politics of Appeal," how Palestinians must prove their humanity to be heard. This is followed by a conversation moderated by Donya Speaks with theater maker Aws Alzubaidy and artist Ataa Dabour. Together, they apply El Kurd's analysis to the Swiss dance and theater scene: Which bodies and stories are missing – and when they are present, under what conditions? What lessons can be drawn from El Kurd's observations for critical curation, especially at a festival on the theme of "human"? The event is organized and realized in collaboration with Performing for Palestine. At the end, there will be food from ShakShuk in the foyer.
