With «Work Body», the Viennese choreographer Michael Turinsky seeks an answer to the rightward shift in the working-class milieu, permeated by fantasies of masculinity. Building, singing, speaking, dancing, and subverting the capitalist division of labor, Turinsky undermines not only the separation of mental and manual labor but also the boundaries between choreographic intervention, concert, and political agitation.
