Stefan Heuss

Description

The «Heuss Innovation Center» preserves the Swiss tinkering tradition into the digital age. Even though much of AI is left to machines today, someone still has to take care of the technical optimization of our analog everyday life. No challenge is too complex for the chief inventor Stefan Heuss to find creative technical solutions. The quirky complexity and questionable reliability of his inventions reliably bring joy and seemingly solve every problem. The innovation comedian Stefan Heuss, known from the show «Giacobbo/Müller», presents, alongside devices from his own workshop, a selection of his favorite inventions from the depths of patent archives – good ideas that never made it into the spotlight of retail shelves. As a contrast to Heuss's stories and technical explanations, there are musical performances. Stefan Heuss's new musical stage partner is the Biel musician Lukas Keller. He plays unpolished blues, folk, and electro grooves on bass and various keyboard instruments. The mix, combined with Heuss's bizarre instrumentation – such as cordless drills, singing jigsaws, and ringing tennis rackets – creates a very unique sound genre. Also part of the band is the brand-new «Heussbox». It is a complex musical control system for electrical and pneumatic devices like vacuum cleaners, toothbrushes, milk frothers, smoothie mixers, and recorders, expanding the musical spectrum with mechanical techno, hip-hop, and disco sounds. Comedy, music, and mechanics.
