SPLETH – handmade German-language songs with attitude, heart, and goosebumps. SPLETH is the band around the well-known radio host, musician, and singer Michael Spleth. For over 35 years, his voice has been at home on the radio: initially at the legendary cult station SWF3, and today at its successor SWR3. But Michael Spleth is much more than a familiar radio voice. Besides his work at the microphone, he has been active for many years as a musician, singer, lyricist, composer, and guitarist. With SPLETH, he puts his own music in the spotlight: handmade, German-language songs that tell stories, remain approachable, and musically get straight to the point without detours. The band stands for honest lyrics, catchy melodies, and a sound that lives from real instruments, musical experience, and palpable joy of playing. Michael Spleth is supported by regular band members with extensive musical experience. Guitarist Michael Lorenz brings his experience from numerous formations and has already played with drummer Andreas Keller of Spider Murphy Gang and bassist Raoul Walton, known for his collaboration with Westernhagen. Gerald Zwerger provides the rhythmic exclamation mark of the band on drums. SPLETH combines the experience of seasoned musicians with the desire for original songs. German-language, direct, authentic, and handmade – music that doesn’t seem constructed but comes from life.
